Education

Carlos  Manglano  received his Bachelor of Science (2000) and Master of Science by Research (2002) in Aerospace Engineering from Parks College of Engineering, Aviation and Technology, Saint Louis University.

During his undergraduate degree, he collaborated with the Parks College Parachute Research Group in the development of physical models to predict the decceleration capabilities of different parachute geometries. For his Master of Science degree, he studied the behaviour of shear layers under the influence of shear stress plane gradients.

In February 2012, he started his current research at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid under the supervision of Dr. Alejandro Sevilla.

Research Interests

Hydrodynamic stability of wakes. Their prediction and alleviation by passive or active methods.

Teaching Activities

Since February 2012, Carlos teaches a number of courses for the Department of Thermal and Fluids Engineering.
