Education
Ana Medina Palomo studied at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, where she obtained a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2008. During the last course, she collaborated with the fluid mechanics research group on the subject of microbubbles and ultrasound.
Ana is currently taking a MS in Mathematical Engineering at the same university while she is doing her PhD under the supervision of Javier Rodríguez.
She has complemented her formation with a stay at the University of California, San Diego with MD Thilo Hölscher.
Research Interests
Ana's research topics can be situated in the field of biomedical fluid dynamics. In particular, she studies the behavior of microbubbles under the influence of ultrasound. Her work is both experimental and numerical.
Teaching Activities
She has coordinated laboratory sessions in various fluid dynamics related courses.
